Should I peruse engineering as a major?

Hi i'm currently in grade 12 and am thinking of possible career options. I am certainly no math/physics/chemistry genius, but am sufficiently comfortable with the subjects. I have a high interest in the hard sciences but have been rather indecisive in making a final conclusion. Engineers or individuals currently in the field, would you please give me some advice or guidance in this matter. What can engineering do for me, what is it all about? Will it be difficult? Why have you chosen to go into the field...?
