What do I do for my depressed fiance?

We have been dating for 3 years. He has always been prone to feeling down (never anything that would suggest depression) and been a bit of a pessimist. About a year ago, he took a job in a different city while I was still in college. Since then, he has been having worse and worse episodes of depression. At first I thought that it was the stress of a job that requires him to keep strange hours and travel a lot or maybe the stress of moving back in with his dad, who he doesn't always get along with. But now it's worse than ever. After doing some research, it appears that he may have dysthymia, a form of depression. I confronted him with my suspicions and a list of symptoms. He agrees that this seems likely, but does not seem to see any point in perusing treatment. He does a lot better when I visit, but I live two hours away and cannot see him more than a couple times a month. I have found some treatments that to try at home (he does not have the money to see a therapist at this time), but he just can't see the point of trying and really believes that things cannot get better. I do not have any illusions that I can "fix" him, but how do help him to get motivated to help himself, especially when I don't see him very often?

Do Trial Lawyers give opening statements under oath?

I'M the plaintiff in a upcoming civil trial v ex-employer. Defense lawyer say its frivolous, he claims I'M trying to extort money from my old employer. he claims I made 2 other attempts 1-Unemployment benefits 2. U.S. Dept of Labor wage/hour (USDOL) and says I lost both. truth is #1. My State unemployment division will verify, I appealed the local denial of benefits, and our State's 3 panel Unemployment appeals judges reversed that and I got full benefits charged to the defendant's and # 2. I filed a USDOL claim in 2003, a few days before I was fired. They audited the business and ended 3 yrs later, Me and 65 others all got paid, money we'd been cheated of. Although due to what the investigator (USDOL) called a "Time Bar" i only got a portion of what i was owed. The U.S. Dept of Labor has verified they closed the case and collected for us. Plus, I have a 2007 IRS W-2 tax form from the company (Defendant) show that they paid me 4 yrs AFTER i was fired. I can prove the Lawyer statements are 100% false. Will that simply hurt his credibility or could he face some sanction or perjury? are lawyers statements in court filings under oath or not?

Landlord/tenant law in Arizona?

I live in Maricopa County AZ. My mother was co-tenant on my lease. She passed away 06/22/11. Now I HAVE to move, but I'm in the middle of a 12 month lease. My landlord has no mercy-she says if I move out under ANY circumstances, I'm am breaking the lease-there is NO condition in which I can legally void my lease. Do I have any rights here? What happens if I just break the lease? Will I go go jail? Will I be blacklisted by all landlords in my area? At the very least can my landlord garnish my part-time wages? My mother died for gosh sake, isn't there something in the law to protect me? Greedy landlords seem to have the rights because they have the $$$ power to buy lawmakers. Thanks for all legit advice
